JWN, recommended reading club. So I have been laid off for the past few weeks and reading quite a few books. I was just looking for some good insight on some good books that you fine people have been reading. I will give a few of my own.
Anything by Ken Follett, but I would highly recommend: The Pillars Of The Earth and World With Out End. By far some of the reads I have read in a long time.
The Story Of Junk, by Linda Yablonsky. A vary compelling story about drug use in the 1980s and when aids first started to hit the US/UK scene.
The Ultimate hitchhikers Guide, by Douglas Adams. It's a vary hard book to read(as in following along with what's always going on) But thats OK just keep reading on. By the end of the book you will be rolling out of your seat. It's funny sh!t.
Yesterday I started to read the book called the Conspiracy Of Paper, by David Liss. So far so good, a real page turner. I will give an update when I'm done.
Holy crap I can't believe I started a topic on JWN. I have not done that for quite sometime. Come on JWN, give me some good books to add to my library. Thanks.

Stupid Memorial
by PanzerZauberei inwell, i am gonna have to go again because my wife wants to go this year.
she missed last year because she was sick and was so depressed about it for a month after because of the guilt her stupid family laid upon my poor darling.
last night she was visiting her dad (the only one who didn't guilt her) and he asked if she was going to go this year.

I think that anyone who goes to the memorial once a year in order to keep peace with their loved ones is being smart. ("Wise ones will pick their battles.")

"Maybe you should mention to them that your getting personal advise on the situation directly from here,"
Funny I was thinking the same thing, or that she has been reading the flock book online.

On another note: You come to an apostate web site for advice and yet you fear the elders more.
Not that I'm saying I'm just saying.

"i'm afraid of them thats why, i im so scared yes scared totally in fear not because i was treated badly just because of the shame and intimidated by they elders in JC they hold the key to my reinstatement"
Fear: The number one sign of a cult. Sounds like a group that I want to belong too.

N-kikl. Are you reading anything that anyone is saying this thread?
Why don't you just ask the elders in your hall about this stuff? They are the ones that are going to be judging you (reading your hart LOL) in the long run, not us.
BTW: welcome to the board. stick around awhile and learn some stuff about the truth.

Told 3 Teenage Witness Girls in Grocery Store about JW Child Abuse Suits
by flipper ini was in the quick check at the grocery store today and 3 teenage witness girls in service dress came behind me in line.
i asked them, " are you ladies dressed up for a graduation or something ?
" they replied, " no, we're in our door to door ministry.

Is it not funny how you can spot a JW a mile away?

"Elders receive 0 training in anything - it's all off the cuff. There is an elder's manual that provides general guidelines but is quite impractical (not that that prevents certain anal-retentive types from memorizing whole chapters of it). The "training" received at all those meetings with the CO, and those "special" 2-day elder schools? Somebody on a platform reading out loud from the book, 0 opportunity for discussion, 0 opportunity to ask questions.
Sir82 - 15 years experience as an elder."
Ok I was trying to point this out.
